Arts on the Go - Educational Outreach

Welcome to The Center for the Art's 3rd year of "Arts on the Go," created by the Center for the Arts' staff and design consultant, Thomas Hannon, with academic support from James Amaral at Bennett Elementary School. We are pleased to be able to reach out to many more school children than ever this year. There will be a total of 2 modules which will circulate among 19 schools throughout the 2007-2008 school year. Each school will have a module for approximately 2 weeks.

Each module is a self-contained interactive exhibit, which enables the Center for the Arts to take the art room directly into the school, while reflecting and supporting several 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade science, math and art Standards of Learning. Our goal is to enrich the curriculum by adding an artistic element and giving students creative hands-on activities to complement science and math lessons they are learning in the classroom. Each module measures about 6.5' high by 12' wide. Each module comprises three bookcase type walls which can stand alone.
